Almost the end of the month and my brand new Grandson will be with us on the 3rd July, well that's the date they gave my dil for her section,Carla wanted him to be born on her birthday, the 5th, I thought it would be fun if he arrived on the 4th....but hey, God willing all will go well and my new Baba will be perfectly perfect...[ you can imagine the pics coming your way surely...ha ha...]

Alright enough waffle, this week at CRAFTYCATZ our most wonderful teamie AUNTYSUE has chosen the OPTIONAL theme which is embossing, I got this so wrong at first, so had a do-over and got a gold star...lol...the girls have a done an amazing job, please go look, fab works...mine is really simple...

Here is my card

Cut a piece of DP in three, mounted and added ribbon, I love that ribbon, bought it last year online and it really is gorgeous, I embossed the DP with a folder freebie from Cardmaking and Papercraft mag last year, and the DP is another from the Paper Designer pad, love it...all card stock from Paper mill as per...

As you can see I also frayed the edges of the ribbon with a needle...

CraftyCatz challenge day #376...ATG...

Good morning, what a beautiful week we have had, it was sizzling, beautiful and the world looks so much nicer through blue skies....[ even if it isn't...]

OK then, this week at CraftyCatz we have our now normal ATG with an OPTIONAL twist chosen by the lovely Naomi, which is Babies...easy peasey...

I went for a pocket tag as we have a new baby due any day now and I can put money and maybe a GV or two in there, well he is my grandson after all, [ oh I am super excited..]so yes, come in number 4....... four lovely boys and one beautiful granddaughter, how lucky I am.....

The image is one from SN , gorgeous, not coloured it this time, paper is Lemoncraft, gorgeous stuff, felt bad tearing it, but  well, thems the breaks I suppose.....the sentiments are pc generated flowers WO ribbon from stash and chippy bits from stash...made a tiny envelope and machine stitched the whole thing to hold up well..

Good morning, glad to see Friday this week, what a time I've  had, been crawling around for a week, my back flared up and it has been agony....just about getting some normal movement back but honestly, it really gets me down..but enough whinging...lol..Lets get on with  the challenge this week, it is tinged with sadness as it will be the last one sponsored by the wonderful KennyK designs, I can't tell you how sad we all feel, but people have to keep moving on in life, I wish them all the very best...

This weeks challenge is set by Christine, as usual it's ATG with an OPTIONAL just for fun twist, which is to use dies or punches..

Quickie card...

Good afternoon to all, just had to share this before it goes to a friends hubby, I think it's the quickest card ever....well, as you'll see there really isn't much to it, but I am happy how it turned out, I do so have the 'Man card syndrome'....lol..

SEE...wavy die from ndesigns, gorgeous leather look paper from Urban Style pad, waxed cord and clock from LLC and stamp from an old-ish set I had stashed...it took more time to decide on the stamp...ha ha...and as you can see it's stood on the matching envelope.

That's it for now, I have a really list of stuff piling up to show, but we will soon be on our summer break so may try and save it for then....

Gift for a friend...

Hi everyone, I hope your all fine and enjoying the sun again...

I made this last week and sent it to a friend of mine, the last one I made her was wearing abit thin so hope she liked this...

I did abit of powertex mixed media on the lid, I know she likes that sort of design and I have fun making them...as you may have noticed...

The box is covered in wallpaper, then the canvas was loaded with  flower, netting powertex balls,a chippie sign that I picked up on eBay and metal plates which I split into two,and flat back string pearls and the name plate is from hobbyhouse I think...long time sat in a jar... then all painted with Rustin's hessian chalk paint and finally polished off with various deco art  cream..

That's about it again, I am off to see if any challenges for this, thanks so much for popping in, see you soon...
